Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Barclays Capital edged rivals Deutsche Bank AG to be the top European arranger for domestic and international bonds over the past decade, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing data from Dealogic.

Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) -- The Development Bank of Japan agreed to increase loans to Japan Airlines Corp. beyond the current 100 billion yen ($1 billion), Kyodo News reported, without saying where it got the information or by how much the lending may rise.

Dec. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Australian bank lending rose in November, adding to signs of economic rebound. Loans provided by banks and other finance companies advanced 0.1 percent from October, when they declined a revised 0.1 percent, the Reserve Bank of Australia said in Sydney today.
